Thanks for the condolences, guys. My parents are a lot more broken up than I am; I'm still kind of in '...what the hell just happened?' mode.
We're not having a necropsy done; the vet thinks her heart just gave out. And, well, at least we gave her a good place to be for a while.

...so at 10:30 or so, the dog randomly stopped breathing. Parents revived her, but only for about half an hour; she died around 11.
That was easily the most dramatic dog death I've been around for (including the one that got hit by a car when I was little); I think all the shouting had something to do with it.
Rest well, Buffy.

...So Angel's a one-game character, now.
(Dammit. Not gonna cry. I'm not.)

The midterm review of September shows signs of improvement, but there's still a lot of work to be done to avoid a firing. So you're still On Notice. (Also, it turns out Mercury is in retrograde, which could well explain a lot.)
